We're looking for an amazing addition to our rapidly growing accounting team who can manage the accounting for our retail channel. The role requires strong partnership with both internal and external partners and includes managing a team of accountants and assisting with system enhancement projects. You will have the chance to serve as a key contributor to a high growth environment and build the retail accounting function by defining key processes and developing methodologies on key estimates.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Manage the monthly close process for the retail sales channel
  • Partner with Finance and VP of Retail to develop estimates for revenue recognition, including variable consideration
  • Lead the strategic direction of the accounts receivable team
  • Provide business decision support in the form of reporting and analysis for the retail team
  • Provide guidance to Operations Technology on the design and implementation of order to cash process 
  • Develop, implement and maintain key policies and procedures for your area of responsibilities, including designing and implementing internal controls over financial reporting compliant with SOX
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing for ERP system; understand the resulting changes to transaction flows and testing the new reports
  • Function as the point of contact for external auditors for your areas of responsibility 
  • Contribute to other strategic projects and initiatives as needed

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis. Preference will be given to those with a CPA Certification
  • 7 - 9 years of relevant work experience, with experience in accounting for retail. 
  • Experience supporting and/or developing enterprise level business systems. Experience with Netsuite is a plus!
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and proactively. A strong sense of urgency to drive high quality work product with impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX/internal controls. Preference will be given to those who have experience working for a public company
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead multiple projects under tight deadlines
