CLA's Outsourcing-Shared Services Center practice, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their fast growing Fund Administration/Private Equity team.

As a member of Fund Administration team, you will be assisting our clients with reducing their administrative burden, allowing them to focus on raising and investing capital.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify client issues concerning generally accepted accounting principles (FASB / SFAS), specifically related to investment companies
  • Complete account reconciliations, such as bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts for real estate and debt funds, and venture capital and private equity funds
  • Prepare financial statements and required work papers to support the financial statements.
  • Process transactions which may include: accounts payable/cash disbursements processing, accounts receivable/cash receipts processing and payroll processing/coordination.
  • Prepare and monitor capital calls and distribution notices to limited partners
  • Prepare limited partner capital/investor statements
  • Maintain and prepare expense allocations between funds
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of accounting software packages.
  • Focus efforts on managing work and key client relationships to exceed client expectations.


Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field OR Associates degree in Accounting or related field plus 2 years of accounting experience OR Associates in unrelated field plus Accounting Certificate plus 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with YARDI and QuickBooks (online version) is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook is required.
  • 1+ years of fund admin/private equity experience, and/or providing related accounting and financial services to clients is strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer/client services skills.

Compensation Strategy

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the $55,000 - 70,000 range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range.
