Overview
Responsible for performing various Quality Assurance (QA) tasks for the Claims Administration Team. Under general supervision, perform QA reviews in accordance with established procedures and complying with investor requirements and federal and state regulations. The QA Processor will be assigned specific loan types including FHA, VA, GSE, MI and USDA claims. The QA review includes adherence with foreclosure fees and costs guidelines, eviction requirements, property maintenance, conveyance of title, reconciliation of hazard and MIP insurance, taxes and appeals reconciliation. Additionally, the QA Processor is responsible for reviewing the default timeline to verify that reported actions occurred as required by the applicable investor and insurer servicing guidelines. Works with Claims Processors to ensure claims are filed timely and accurately, providing all back-up as required by investors/insurers.
Job Description

  • Reconciles servicing expenses/corporate advances as required by MI, investor, insurer and internal guidelines including: foreclosure fees and costs, eviction requirements, property inspections and preservation, HOAs, taxes, hazard insurance and expenses during the default process
  • Ensures reviews are performed in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures and investor guidelines
  • Maintains and updates various databases to meet departmental and QA requirements
  • Performs second reviews of work performed by others while helping resolve problems and difficult situations
  • Assists in identifying error trends noted during the QA evaluation.
  • Ensure data accuracy
  • Achieve key metrics associated with the process and meet departmental monthly goals
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Mortgage default-related experience preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude for data, reporting, data reconciliation desired
  • Familiarity with FHA, VA, USDA, MI and GSE Insurer servicing guidelines
  • Must have experience with auditing and/or filing claims for FHA, VA and/or USDA adhering to the Investor/Insurer's guidelines.
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
