This is an exciting opportunity to join the RI&S Engineering Mission Assurance finance team. This member will be tasked with being the Finance Lead, supporting Engineering in their efforts to stand up a new entity in Puerto Rico that will support both RIS and RMD programs. The role will interface with the Global Engineering Center Puerto Rico Site Lead and be an integral business partner in establishing a best practice for processing and execution of a high volume intercompany work agreements. In addition to creating IOT's for the engineering workforce in Puerto Rico, the desired candidate will also need to setup and manage the performer projects in Apex and communicate directly with hiring managers, Control Account Managers and Program Finance as required. The role is also critical in supporting RIS Accounting and Tax with timely reporting to necessitate quarterly and annual filings to ensure overall business compliance. The role involves developing forecast (including hiring plans for Engineering), monitoring expenses, improving processes and partnering with Engineering to drive towards achieving the strategic goals and objectives.

The position will track budget to actual spend and directly interface with RIS Rates to ensure any significant variances that could impact the indirect rates of the entity are dealt with in a timely manner. There will be a need to identify risks and opportunities, and be the primary interface to ensure a timely and smooth flow from time Engineers are hired until they are provided with a charge code to work programsThe team member will also be integrated into the monthly forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process, analyzing trend data, developing various presentations and making recommendations to management as necessary.

The candidate will need to be able to partner with various levels of management, as well as across functions and BU's. The role will be responsible for providing overall business synergy savings to the RIS Integration Finance Team to support the overall RTX merger synergy goals. Oversight surrounding tools in the preparation of monthly analysis and communication of performance, risks, and opportunities to management is critical. The selected individual must be able to work in a highly dynamic, high pressure, environment including supporting and leading presentations to management on a monthly basis, at a minimum.

Required Skills:

Minimum 8 years of related finance experience

Prior experience with creating and managing IOT's

Previous Aerospace and Defense program finance experience

Excellent desktop computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Experience in coordinating across multiple locations

High level of attention to detail when preparing results

Ability to work in a deadline driven environment

Good organizational skills in leading/coordinating personnel toward common finance goals by setting priorities and working within deadlines; ability to multi-task

Creative problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically, as well as tactically

Experience in and comfortable with interfacing and conducting business with Senior Management and/or Director level personnel

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to support the preparation and presentation of written briefs and summaries for internal communication

Desired Skills:

Past experience supporting an international business a plus

Experience with SAP R3, BW, Winshuttle

Solid understanding of Overhead Rates and CER pools

Required Education:

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area.
