Please review the following job description:

Responsible for Professional and University Banking business development efforts within assigned territory, with primary focus on growing professional and emerging professional retail households through business to business to consumer calling activities, including but not limited to professional places of business, organizations and colleges/universities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Serve as primary business development officer for Professional and University Banking segment in assigned territory. Responsible for growing professional and emerging professional retail households through business to business to consumer sales efforts and meeting program targets.

2. Develop a business pipeline and conduct regular pre-planned sales calls with key decision makers in defined segment to create strategic partnerships through strong relationship management with professional places of business, organizations and colleges/universities utilizing the Bank's sales processes and strategies.

3. Execute on daily business development activities that meet behavior, sales and retention goals including effective delivery of complex marketing/group sales presentations to key consumer segment groups via strategic relationships with professional businesses, organizations and universities.

4. Develop and facilitate product account opening sessions utilizing digital and branch channels, and promote financial confidence resources for key consumer segment clients in both professional and university environments.

5. Prioritize calling efforts to achieve maximum results in alignment with organizational objectives, including prospecting and market development.

6. Responsible for continued support and reinforcement of bank strategies toward improving client service quality.

7. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Young Professionals and Student segments, retail banking, operational procedures and competitive programs and products in local markets.

8. Partner to build internal reciprocal referral partnerships, deepen client relationships and increase penetration in CIG, Middle Market and Commercial client portfolios.

9. Work with Retail Community Bank Leadership partners to provide sales support, joint sales calling, as appropriate, and local training.

10. Actively engage in professional workplace and university networking within local assigned territory to develop key strategic partnerships, representing Bank through community and professional group/association involvement to develop contacts for potential business.

11. Proactively cultivate Centers of Influence, such as professional organizations/associations, Chamber of Commerce and university groups to keep an active source of referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, including 7-10 years of demonstrated consistent performance in sales within financial services industry
2. Excellent sales/business development skills and presentation/communication skills
3. Strong understanding of a broad range of financial concepts, and an advanced working knowledge of retail banking strategy
4. Excellent written, verbal, problem solving, and analytical skills, as well as interpersonal and relationship management skills
5. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products and Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications:
6. 7+ years of demonstrated consistent performance in sales/business development
7. Ability to speak fluent Spanish (or, other local language)
