Description

• Product cost and material cost forecasting in projects, ensuring accurate product cost and information.
• Work with Engineering to create & update bills of materials
• Identify & capture product costs from Cost Engineering, Purchasing, Engineering
• Drive product cost optimization and control/monitor product cost activities within projects
• Optimize concept selection from a profitability and product cost perspective.
• Secure robust concept selection.
• Support a strong collaboration with Engineering and Purchasing bringing the product cost management culture into the cross functional work.
• Support other PFEs and Finance Project Managers in product cost analysis.

Preferred Skills/Competencies

• Engineering and/or purchasing background
• Able to manage and structure large amount of data
• MS excel (large amounts of data, pivot, etc.)
• Experience in heavy duty automotive industry (Volvo/Mack trucks)
• Understanding of financial skills.
• Being able to compile financial information and present in a structured way.
• Understanding of Volvo specific tools is preferred (GPS, KOLA)
