This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department 22 finance team in RI&S! Dept 22 FP&A is seeking a highly motivated Principal Specialist to join our team. The selected candidate must be able to work under deadlines and constraints, as well as have the ability to multitask across a variety of tasks. The successful candidate will collaborate to drive/influence the financial process including annual plans, quarterly and monthly forecasts, weekly short-range outlooks, as well as, other RI&S requests. This role supports a business of ~$500M+ revenue & will partner with sales/profit part of the business.

The candidate will be responsible for consolidation and preparation of Cash and Investments for D22 while helping to drive business results across the entire organization via timely and accurate assessments of data on key financial metrics. This position will have high visibility with substantial interaction with senior finance managers, directors, and members of D22 leadership team. The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate at multiple layers within and outside the organization. The ability to develop productive partnerships with other functions, analysts, and Product Line leaders are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate for this position will be an excellent communicator with ability to multitask across various activities. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly dynamic environment including supporting and leading presentations to senior members of the enterprise.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of related finance experience
• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and understanding of internal tools and practices
• Ability to work and succeed in a deadline driven environment
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Excellent personal computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), and forecasting tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience in DoD or Aerospace
• Data visualization (PowerBI or Tableau)
• Power Query

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
