In this role, as part of Talend’s Global Product Marketing team, you will partner cross-functionally with leaders across Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Finance to conduct deep business analysis for recommendations on packaging and pricing of existing/new product capabilities. Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, market/competitive research is critical to be successful in this role. This role will provide a rare executive-level view of a business and visibility as we accelerate towards $1B in revenue in the near term. Key responsibilities and impact:


Analytical Model development: Develop complex models to estimate impact of various pricing/packaging strategies on revenue, profitability, and market share. Support development of business models for strategic partnerships.


Competitive Analysis: Use quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, market share and margins.


Market/Industry Analysis: Monitor and identify market trends that may impact topline and/or bottom-line outcomes. Support the development of recommendations related to Ideal Customer Profiles and target markets. Collaborate with Sales leadership to ensure alignment of price and packaging with market needs.


Develop Pricing Tools – Support development of tools in collaboration with Sales Operations.


Support business reviews: Develop insights and actionable recommendations to improve effectiveness of sales and marketing execution. Support the development and presentation of analyses and reports for Talend’s Executive Leadership Team.


Key skills:


1. Functional expertise: At least 5-7 years of experience in strategy consulting or product marketing with a focus on pricing strategy development.

2. Domain knowledge: 2 years experience in pricing/monetization with demonstrable success in a high-tech Enterprise B2B/SaaS domain strongly preferred.

3. Analytical and quantitative skills: Proven skills as demonstrated in the development of complex pricing models, what-if scenarios, sensitivity analysis etc. Strong skills in using analytical tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Advanced Excel) a must.

4. Insights from Data: Ability to ingest large volumes of data (quantitative and qualitative) and be able to distill it to core insights and communicate those effectively

5. Cross group Collaboration: Ability to collaborate across teams (PM, Sales, Marketing, Finance etc.), resolve differences of opinion and influence actions of others is key for success.

6. Ability to thrive in ambiguity: To have impact in a fast paced and agile business like ours, the right candidate would not just be able to deal with, but enjoy working in ambiguous situations. 

7. Communication skills: Solid communications skills including written, verbal, executive presentations. Ability to tell a story through data is a must.

8. Ownership: A mindset of taking full ownership of the outcomes and rolling up your sleeves to see an initiative land successfully in market. #CEOmindset
