The Principal Accountant is part of the Benefits Accounting Team within the Corporate Controller's Group. The position completes accounting, reporting and forecasting for the Company's common and treasury stock shares, 401(k) plans and health and welfare accrual.

What You'll Do for Us:
  • Calculate basic and fully diluted average shares for actuals, rolling estimates and the business plan.
  • Prepare 10-Q and 10-K disclosures for common and treasury stock, including unrecognized compensation, unregistered sale of equity and issued and outstanding shares.
  • Support Global Equity in preparation of the annual Proxy Statement.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis related to common and treasury stock for Treasury, FP&A and Global Equity.
  • Prepare monthly journal vouchers and balance sheet reconciliations for stock options, 401(k) and health and welfare. Prepare monthly equity roll-forward analysis.
  • Lead 401(k) benefit plan audits to support Form 5500 filings. Prepare stand-alone financial statements in Workiva and serve as primary finance contact for auditors.
  • Manage health and welfare accrual (H&W). Coordinate with Total Rewards to understand and budget for various H&W benefits. Reconcile benefit payments and premiums to supporting documents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • CPA, MBA and/ or MS in Accounting preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP): Research codification and formulate accounting recommendations.
  • Financial analysis: Use tools and technology to identify trends, explain variances and provide management with useful insights and recommendations.
  • Track and apply internal and external trends: Track business activities (e.g., M&A, capital allocation programs) and market trends (Company stock price, stock market activity) and translate relevance to work on basic and fully diluted average shares
  • Financial systems: Quick learner of and adapter to new general ledger, consolidations and reporting systems.
  • Customer focus and collaboration: Seek to understand and support business partners' perspectives and priorities.
