STR is hiring within its growing Finance Division, a Pricing Specialist who will support all aspects of cost proposals including analyzing proposal solicitation requirements to preparing for the final submission of the cost volume. The Pricing Specialist will also regularly interact with internal customers, requiring a high level of coordination and communication.
Description & Responsibilities:
- Collect, summarize, and analyze financial cost data in preparation of cost proposals
- Analyze proposal solicitation requirements/documentation and review cost proposals for fully compliant submission of the cost volume
- Attend proposal kickoff meetings and define upfront the costing requirements
- Enhance the current cost proposal process by creating standardized templates and documenting internal procedures
- Maintain detailed pricing documentation to serve as reference for future inquiries or audits
- Perform special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Excel and ability to create common formulas, like SUBTOTAL, VLOOKUP functionality, pivot tables, etc.
- Working experience using Microsoft Word preferred (not required)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- PROPRICER (or related pricing tool) experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to:
- Communicate effectively
- Stay organized and multi-task in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and proposals
- Work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines
- Make decisions with sound judgement while complying with policies and procedures
- Establish processes to drive efficiencies
- Develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Obtain a security clearance (US Citizen)
