We seek a self-motivated, driven, highly organized investment professional to join our Underwriting Team as a Portfolio Acquisition Specialist. The Analyst is responsible for sourcing single-family rental bulk portfolio opportunities, managing an active deal pipeline, maintaining an organized database of owners, and facilitating the diligence and closing process for portfolio acquisitions.
Utilize Amherst’s proprietary technology to identify single-family rental portfolio owners and obtain contact information for said owners
Perform direct outreach to source bulk acquisition opportunities and manage relationships with sellers to facilitate the entire purchase process
Use Salesforce to track and record potential leads, outreach, portfolio data, and Amherst activity
Analyze prospective investment opportunities and summarize preliminary findings for consideration by the Underwriting Team
Assist in managing the pipeline of potential and active deals and present findings regularly to various working groups across the organization
Collaborate with functional groups across Amherst’s platform including research, capital management, portfolio management, brokerage, construction, and property management
Contribute to the development of new technology features to improve the way the firm identifies, evaluates, and purchases real estate
What you will need to have:
A 4-year college degree
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills - brokerage or sales experience a plus
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills – must be able to analyze data and present findings in an organized and digestible fashion
Hard work ethic, strong attention to detail, and ability to adapt in a dynamic and ever-changing industry
