The Payroll Specialist will report to the Sr. Manager, Payroll and provide exemplary customer service to our employees and cross-functional partners.  You will participate in the daily workflow of the payroll department and will ensure the accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll for Vimeo employees in multiple states.  

What you’ll do: 

• Calculate and process in-house biweekly and off-cycle payrolls
• Generate scheduled and ad-hoc reports from databases to disseminate information to internal departments and external entities 
• Respond to inquiries concerning payroll and communicate with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners 
• Perform manual and system adjustments each pay period; ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for all entries/changes 
• Ensure payroll accuracy by running thorough reviews of all pay audit reports and making corrections as needed 
• Act as liaison with vendors to resolve and proactively prevent payroll and tax issues 
• Review electronic non-exempt personnel timesheets for compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements 
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files; including logs for manual checks, voids, and reconciliation of payroll accounts 
• Maintain financial controls and audit trails for all transactions, benefit deductions, and payroll cycles 

Skills and knowledge you should possess: 

• Strong functional Payroll knowledge and a minimum of 3 – 5 years’ payroll processing experience 
• FPC, CPP a plus 
• Have a knowledge of and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits, and other factors 
• Ability to analyze and interpret payroll data. Understanding of multi-jurisdiction, employee equity transactions and/or deferrals 
• Must have demonstrated ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, and provide excellent customer service 
• Ability to maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential 
• Experience using UKG Ultimate Software (UltiPro) and UltiPro Time Maintenance for payroll processing a plus 
• Experience with Cognos and intermediate level Excel skills 
• Good understanding of Federal and multi-state taxation  
• Excellent communication skills to communicate with all levels of employees  
• Attention to detail, prioritization skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
