Description: Processes one or more of the following: new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays; maintains vacation, sick leave and worker's compensation records; compiles reports on base and premium pay; posts entries to journals and ledgers; prepares tax deposits and reports; generates and distributes checks; and researches and produces special reports.

Essential Functions:- Process daily and special batch off-cycle process.
- Coordinate staff to assure all queries are completed and all corrections are done timely.
- Manage the bi-weekly payroll process.
- Develop new hire and refresher training modules; track success and recommend modifications as needed.
- Provide training to payroll specialists.
- Provide input for development of Payroll and Garnishments queries, and reports.
- Coordinate workload of Payroll Specialists.
- Collaborate with various entities to troubleshoot and develop best practices and recommend process improvements.
- Support organizational vision.
- Represent payroll as subject matter expert on projects.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of: PeopleSoft HR & Payroll, KP Labor Management Partnership, KP, State & Federal Pay Practices, Payroll Regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
- Minimum four (4) years of payroll experience.
Education
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- N/A

Additional Requirements:- Has substantial understanding of the job, and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
