Job Summary:

The Pricing Specialist will be a key member in the Regional Operations team and will be primarily responsible for providing accurate and timely Natural Gas COGs for all LDCs. This position will also be responsible for all aspects of LDC markets including those with assignment of Pipeline and/or Storage Capacity. This position will assist the Regional Natural Gas Pricing team with all pricing request and will coordinate monthly activity with Wholesale Natural Gas Operations. This position will coordinate and provide expertise for all LDCs within the assigned territories. The position will communicate with all business units that have customers within the associated rate schedules. This position will provide management reports as required and will be the expert on all LDC tariffs, systems and processes relating to the capacity and non-capacity released markets.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate COG generation for Capacity Assigned LDCs.
  • Provide expertise on LDC tariff provisions and rate classes.
  • Manage monthly and forward load forecasts by LDC
  • Interact with business, utilities, and wholesale operations in determining the optimization of supply resources.
  • Manage LDC True Ups & Cash outs
  • Verify and update all non-commodity adders as appropriate
  • Coordinate with Wholesale Operations on all basis blends and market dynamics related to each LDC.
  • Verify accuracy of aggregated load activity
  • Work collaboratively with Wholesale Operations, Product Control and Risk to provide forward book, monthly forecast and P&L data.
  • Verify and Maintain deal capture within all systems
  • Expertise as it relates to capacity configurations and modeling
  • Communicate all conditions related to changes in programs, tariffs & market dynamics.


Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Minimal to no travel



Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience with a demonstrated understanding of gas markets a plus
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of business experience
  • Strong quantitative analytical, problem solving and research skills with quality decision making ability
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Macros and database management.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of natural gas markets is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.



Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.

Located in a comfortable office environment.

Occasional need to give moderate attention, either hearing or seeing to what is happening. Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with 1 or 2 senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.

There is modest pressure from deadlines or other standards. There is regular need to give close attention to what is happening.
