The MCE Accounting position will be responsible for supporting the accounting and reporting of our MCE aftermarket contracts including system and process enhancements. This position will provide critical support to the organization in the areas of complex accounting processes & related controls, financial closing including acceleration of the closing process to align with parent Company requirements and analytics on key balance sheet and income statement accounts.

MCE is a $5B business, with the Aftermarket being a main driver. This role provides the opportunity for a wide-ranging set of experiences that require a strong set of analytical and technical skills, an ability to work cross-functionally, and the desire to continuously look for new and better ways to complete processes and add value to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the accounting and reporting activities for our MCE aftermarket contracts, including system and process enhancements.
  • Prepare accounting process mappings for the different contract types (e.g. Fleet Management Program contracts and Fixed Price Agreements) including the identification of key reports and financial reporting controls.
  • Collaborate with the MCE Aftermarket Contracts, Fleet Management and MCE Engine Services Finance and FP&A teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of the accounting and reporting on this portfolio of contracts.
  • Support the financial closing acceleration project which will require enhancements in the closing process to align with parent Company requirements and reporting deadlines.
  • Assist management with the review of current and newly executed aftermarket contracts to assess and confirm the accounting conclusions related to revenue recognition and other accounting treatments (e.g. Remaining Performance Obligations).
  • Support management and the Commercial Engines Restructuring team with transactions involving contract amendments and modifications.
  • Support management with ad hoc projects including review and analysis of key balance sheet and income statement accounts.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 5+ years' of general experience in Accounting and Finance, preferably some of that time having been in the Aerospace Industry.
  • Have demonstrated controls and process improvement experience.
  • US Citizenship.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SAP, Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Certified Public Accountant.
