As Manager, Financial Applications Development, you will be responsible for technical design, development, re-engineering and maintenance of Financial, Human Resource and Logistic applications such as SAP ERP, Workday, APO etc. 

Manager, Financial Application Development reports to the Manager Financial Applications and is responsible for tactical and long-term Architecture and Integration strategy of the SAP ERP and other corporate applications.

You should have strong interpersonal skills and capable of delivering highly complex projects and service requests in a fast-paced environment. You have previous experience of supporting and managing business teams.

You are responsible to assess, estimate, design and prioritize new project or enhancements pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tactical and long-term architecture, development and integration strategy of the following platforms and applications:
    • SAP (FI-GL, AR, AP, AA, IM, PS, MM, SD, RE-FX and APO)
    • SAP GRC
    • HR System like Workday
    • SAP custom applications
    • SAP Fiori
  • Assists in proactively defining IT solutions, provides production support services and issue resolution for existing applications.
  • Architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverages cloud solutions.
  • Working as a technical leader alongside business, development and infrastructure teams to Architect and develop customer applications to be cloud optimized
  • Responsible for the overall technical design of SAP solutions and support SAP Program(s) enhancements/ implementations.
  • Produces conceptual and logical solution designs that address business requirements while respecting corporate and architectural standards and guidelines.
  • Develops detailed process models for specific technology solutions in conjunction with functional experts.
  • Formulates and presents the architecture, design and implementation methods and status for internal and external customer review.
  • Research current and future technological developments and applications.
  • Identifies hardware and software architectural needs and solutions.
  • Identifies architectural and technology risks with the potential to impact customer or company IS plans; develops goals and plans to mitigate risks.
  • Identifies discrepancies between the enterprise technical architecture and systems designs proposed by project teams and assists project teams in resolving the discrepancies.
  • Develops and maintains daily routines to review production support metrics
  • Develops Architecture/Technical standards and guidelines
  • Assists in development of dashboards and reports to regularly communicate results.
  • Summarizes and escalates critical or unresolved support issues to leadership.
  • Leads requirements and solution design activities with customers, coordinates test case development, user acceptance testing and business approvals for development lifecycle
  • Manage project and resources for successful delivery.
  • Participates in project related meetings to provide/obtain status, assess risks and implement mitigation strategies, provide SME input as required; staffs projects accordingly using implementation partners and internal resources as required
  • Makes recommendations for improvements, standardization, consolidation of reports to common layouts for supportability/usability, and determines ways to optimize information generation and distribution
  • Prioritizes and tracks application or report enhancement requests with the business globally.
  • Evaluates effort for project related work, negotiating resources with IS partners and screening candidates from third party partners that participate in implementations.
  • Follows change management procedures to enable smooth deployment of new or changed software and to provide recovery options should changes need to be backed out and work with operations staff to support changes released to production

Demonstrates willingness to mentor others and learn new techniques

Must have strong analytical abilities coupled with sound trouble-shooting skills

Development of validation programs to ensure that data quality control standards are achieved. Performs data integrity checks, reports anomalies, and communicates findings with support teams for resolution

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years related work experience
  • 7+ years of Hands-on SAP development and troubleshooting experience with skills in ABAP/4 Programming Language including SmartForms, User-exits, BADI’s, Idocs, Object Oriented Programming in ABAP, Javascript
  • Technical knowledge of SAP systems and a good understanding of several functional areas such as FI, SD, MM, PP, and APO
  • Exposure and understanding of SAP security concepts and Basis
  • ABAP Fiori UI5 experience
  • 3+ years of management /Technical lead experience with application architecture, design and implementation
  • In-depth knowledge in the data model of various SAP applications and table structure is essential
  • Ability to depict the architecture views conceptually, logically and physically
  • Proven experience translating business problems into actionable initiatives
  • Strong customer focus and analytical thinking ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
  • Experience with Single Sign On, SAML, LDAP, AD integration
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, and IT project team members to define, design, and execute activities related to data validation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; develops and plans communication strategies to ensure activities and accomplishments are communicated to senior management, project stakeholders, and IT teams
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel and to summarize findings and recommendations for leadership presentations when needed
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure program success
  • Ability to partner with off-shore development team to create new application features and support of existing applications
