We are looking for a Manager to join the Sales Finance team in the FP&A organization as Databricks experiences growth at scale. You will report to the Sr. Director of Sales Finance. Our team helps promote deeper insights into our business and supports the Sales leadership team with greater visibility and predictability. You will be a trusted advisor to Sales leadership, delivering insights and providing recommendations for driving sustainable growth. You will improve forecast reliability, enhance corporate reporting, establish processes, and scale our systems to help grow the business.

The impact you will have:

  • Plan, forecast, and report on headcount, expenses, and efficiency metrics (e.g. CAC and CLTV)
  • Forecast earned commissions and participate in quota setting and comp plan design
  • Be a trusted advisor to sales leadership on budget, headcount, and Return on investments
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on earned commissions vs. budget and identify drivers of risk and opportunities to the budget
  • Partner with the Sales Operations and Commissions Administration teams on analysis and development of a single-source of truth for reporting important metrics in the data lake
  • Partner with the Revenue Finance team to analyze the impact of changes to top-line forecasts on efficiency metrics
  • Develop dashboards and reporting in Anaplan and Redash to scale delivery of insights

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or comparable quantitative field
  • 6+ years of FP&A, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting -- experience with a focus on technology; familiarity with the software industry (and SaaS)
  • Financial modeling skills and quantitative analysis experience
  • Expert in Excel; can maintain complex spreadsheets, comfortable with different modeling techniques, shortcuts
  • Experience with SQL is preferred
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience identifying and addressing business issues through analysis and recommendations
  • Experience with Anaplan is preferred
