Role overview
The Manager, Revenue Accounting, is responsible for developing detailed and efficient close processes, streamlined reporting, maintaining responsibility of several key critical accounting projects, reporting revenue results regularly and for ensuring those results are reported in accordance with US GAAP.
A day in the life...

  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls for revenue recognition.
  • Manage critical accounting projects, including the implementation of new system logics or enhancements and new revenue standards.
  • Lead process improvement and development of new procedures to maximize productivity and minimize re-work to enhance the speed and efficiency of the monthly revenue close.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts in order to obtain the monthly support required for revenue recognition in a timely manner.
  • Perform and maintain assigned internal controls on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for performing various month-end/quarter-end close activities to meet monthly revenue accounting close deadlines. These include, but are not limited to, revenue allocations, various analysis, journal entry preparation and submission, account reconciliations, royalty payable analysis, special project work as needed.
  • Lead the month-end/quarter-end close activities for the Company's virtual primary care business.
  • Provide ready-to-present analysis and findings of revenue results on a monthly basis to the Accounting and Finance teams, including the Controller and CFO.
  • Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.Gather data and prepare related schedules and footnotes for the Company's quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SEC filings.
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist external auditors during quarterly review and annual audit periods.
  • Ensure that all key controls for the revenue cycle are in place and operating effectively, including detailed documentation and evidence of review, to comply with the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal controls procedures.
  • Interface with business groups throughout the Company to effectively communicate and educate on revenue recognition requirements and associated guidance.
  • Participate in ad-hoc revenue analysis and accounting projects as needed.


What we are looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 4-8+ years' accounting experience, preferably working with GAAP and SEC guidelines for revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Public accounting background is a plus
  • Month-end close experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data required
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Excellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
