We are looking to hire a rock-star Manager of Payroll Solutions! You will be partnering with payroll product and go-to-market teams on ongoing discovery related to new payroll features, and assist in the development and maintenance of the product line. The ideal candidate will be deeply knowledgeable of best practice payroll processes, and have a strong customer service mindset. This role will be a great fit for a passionate self-starter who is an effective problem solver, and ready to take ownership of the payroll support team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help HCP to launch a new, external-focused embedded payroll solution for our customer base of home service professionals
  • Create, deliver and maintain necessary training, documentation and other content on payroll-related components for customer-facing teams (i.e. sales, marketing, success advisors)
  • Partner with payroll product and go-to-market teams on ongoing discovery related to new payroll features, and assist in the development and maintenance of the product line
  • Inform the product roadmap by tracking and surfacing common use cases and challenges related to payroll
  • Author documentation on or assist customers/internal staff with use of all reporting tools
  • Step in as final point of escalation on customer support issues and collaborate with internal support teams to ensure payroll product is operating efficiently
  • Build towards ownership of payroll support team,  scale the team and deliver measurable support processes that drive customer satisfaction

What you will bring to this role:

  • 2-5+ years of experience as a payroll specialist and/or supporting payroll related systems
  • Fundamental knowledge of payroll administration, payroll audit, and the application of best practice payroll processes including:
  • Strong expertise in troubleshooting any payroll-related customer inquiries
  • Excellent people skills: must be personable, patient, and good-humored
  • Self-starter mentality and independent thinker; intelligent and effective problem-solver
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills and a clear view on what constitutes excellent customer service; confident customer interaction skills
  • Team player attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Interest or experience in SMBs and home service business trades is a plus
  • Strong project management ability and eagerness to learn new skills

Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 base + Annual Bonus + Equity
