Come join Unity as a Manager of M&A and Technical Accounting! This is a critical position supporting the business on all M&A transactions, as well as complex and non standard arrangements. This highly visible role will cross-functionally partner with the Controllership, Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, HR and FP&A teams to enable the success of the company's M&A activity and strategic investments.

As the Manager of M&A and Technical Accounting you will have the opportunity to work with a distributed team, drive efficiency and partnership through the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the end-to-end financial due diligence process for all M&A transactions;
• Be a key liaison with accounting, corporate development, legal, tax, treasury, external valuation specialists and external audit for M&A transactions
• Review M&A accounting analyses, related technical accounting memos, and purchase price allocations prepared in accordance with ASC 805, Business Combinations
• Review valuation reports and underlying assumptions prepared by third-party specialists
• Advise on transaction structuring, contingent consideration arrangements, net working capital considerations, and other areas that may have a downstream impact on the acquisition accounting

What we’re looking for

• Certified Public Accountant with public accounting and/or public company experience
• Strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards, specifically standards surrounding business combinations
• Experience with technical research and writing technical accounting memos
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
