Manager of FP&A
Due to Covid–19 we are working 100% remotely, this includes the hiring process. When it is safe to do so, we will return to a hybrid of onsite and remote work for some positions.
Why This Role Is Important To Arcadia
The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will report to the Director of FP&A and work with the CFO, VP of Finance and Controller to support Arcadia achieving its financial goals. This role will provide value-add financial reporting and insights to our business partners and will be responsible for managing, updating, and maintaining the financial model through the annual budget process, rolling forecasts and in support of strategic decision making.
What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Learn the nuances and have a deep understanding of Arcadia’s SaaS technology and services business model; understand how business decisions have a financial impact
- Learn the Workday Adaptive planning tool to support FP&A reporting and planning function
- Collaborate with the accounting team for month-end and quarter-end close reporting and analysis
- Lead the monthly flash reporting reviews with CFO focused on P&L results
In 6 months
- Assist in preparing management reports and board of directors packages summarizing P&L and cash flow
- Perform ad hoc business analysis and drive continual process improvements to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of planning & analysis activities.
- Automate SaaS metrics reporting in partnership with our Financial Systems Analyst
- Develop cross-function relationships with business partners and work together on rolling forecasts
In 12 months
- Work with our Financial Systems Analyst to configure Workday Adaptive that supports the scale and growth of Arcadia – including adoption of self-service reporting for business partners
- Partner with CFO and other leaders on a significant and highly visible initiative to support Arcadia’s growth
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the data inputs and analysis of the three financial statement model – focus is P&L
- Mentoring and developing an FP&A Analyst to support their goals and career
- Learning and/or deploying improvements to our financial systems and reporting and model
- Providing timely, accurate and value-added reporting to the business
- Analyzing data and trends to provide data-driven recommendations and business cases
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial data to executives
- Player/coach approach to the FP&A function – must be able to develop and manage and analyst while supporting the needs of the CFO and Arcadia’s business partners
- High integrity and performance standards. Passion for learning and continuous improvement.
