CUMULUS MEDIA | Atlanta, GA is looking for a Manager of Financial Reporting at the Corporate Office. The Manager of Financial reporting will be responsible for preparing financial statements and footnotes as necessary to assist the Senior Director of Financial Reporting with filing of period financial reports and earnings releases with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including the XBRL process. This role will also perform research and analysis for various technical accounting issues, including but not limited to ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350, ASC 842 and ASC 805. Additionally, the role will be responsible for creating, implementing and refining policies and procedures to optimize efficiencies related to external and internal financial reporting requirements.

This role will report to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting and work closely with the CAO, other finance, accounting and functional leaders and provide key support to the business unit leaders and field personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Company's Form 10-K and 10-Q including footnotes and MD&A
• Responsible for completing quarterly disclosure checklists and other quarterly procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Prepare and file other SEC filings as applicable, such as 8-Ks and Form 4s
• Coordinate management representation letters and 10-Q/10-K sub-certification process
• Prepare monthly internal GAAP financial statements for non-quarter end months to include all financial statements and other detail schedules, as requested
• Assist in providing data to third-party valuation specialist regarding ASC 350 impairment analysis
• Research, analyze and document technical accounting issues
• Maintain current corporate accounting policies, draft new policies and assist with the adoption of new accounting standards
• Provide support to internal and external auditors
• Aid M&A related activities including review of technical accounting under U.S. GAAP based on related contracts and accounting integration
• Support the treasury team by preparing debt compliance materials and preparing daily cash reports on an as needed basis

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and active CPA required
• 4-6 years of related experience in either public accounting/and or industry required
• Combination of Big 4 and corporate experience preferred
• Superior technical skills and strong understanding of US GAAP
• Understanding of financial statement requirements and preparation (SEC required)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and financial responsibilities to meet goals and objective while maintaining significant attention to detail
• Ownership of work, multi-tasking and prioritization skillset to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment is a must
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to challenge the status quo and drive change
• Honesty, integrity, and collaborative attitude are critical
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Workiva preferred
