The Manager of FP&A at Beyond will be part of the corporate FP&A team and provide support for all FP&A efforts, including financial and business analysis, annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning. The Manager of FP&A will also play a “hands-on” role in developing and implementing financial planning processes and tools.
The FP&A team works cross-functionally with other teams within the organization to consolidate financial information and develop projections and analyses. Our team works in a fast-paced, collaborative and demanding environment and we are looking for a self-motivated candidate who has a “no excuses / get the job done” mentality.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and skilled at communicating complex financial concepts to, and developing working relationships with, Executive Leadership and all levels, functions, and operations of the company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Helps lead the preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis against budget and prior periods
- Assists in leading the annual budget and forecasting process for all functional areas including relevant analysis and documentation of major variances.
- Maintain, enhance, and design the FP&A reporting tool (Adaptive Insights) as well as build out reports in Adaptive for ad-hoc analysis
- Identifies, recommends enhancements and helps implement changes with respect to content, process, and controls
- Provides financial and strategic support to senior management and the owners, including preparing investor presentations, financial presentations, and other projects.
- Meet with division leads to discuss monthly variances to budget and any organizational changes that may affect financials
- Assists in leading & creating partnerships with Accounting and HR staff to report monthly expenses and headcount across the firm’s divisions
- Manages analyst(s) on FP&A team to meet deadlines and provide superior service to business unit leaders
- Proactively looks for ways to improve the accuracy and speed of the current forecasting process for both revenue and expenses
- Other duties assigned to ensure the proper functions of the team & meet business needs as identified

- Familiar with, or can quickly become familiar with, the company’s operations and strategy
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance, Master’s degree a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in FP&A, preferably with some of that time as a manager
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- 3-Statement Financial Model experience is a strong plus
- Experience working for a PE-backed firm a plus
- Experience with structured ERP systems (Adaptive, NetSuite, etc.) a plus
- Knowledge of reporting in Looker and SQL/database structures a plus
- Very comfortable working in a fast-paced/growing company/evolving environment
- A strong sense of urgency and strong determination to see something through to completion
