POSITION SUMMARY:

The candidate for this position will be a critical member of the finance team and a principle financial advisor to our businesses and senior management. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and validating financial results for actuals, forecast, and budget submissions. This position is a unique blend of financial planning and analysis with classic accounting skills. This individual will analyze, classify, and review financial data and provide interpretation of results for use by all levels of management.

The candidate will work closely with corporate personnel and will be a key point of contact for operating companies (OpCos) in regard to accounting and reporting issues. Career progression opportunities exist within the finance groups of our OpCos as well as the corporate finance group in financial planning and analysis as well as controllership roles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviews and validates each OpCo's actual and forecasted financial results on a monthly basis and provides analytical reports of business performance to senior management. Prepares and reviews reports of core value drivers for distribution to senior management. Participates in and supports annual budgeting process. Prepares annual intangibles impairment review and quarterly goodwill roll forward using OpCo submissions. Prepares quarterly hedge analysis and memo. Reviews monthly debt schedules. Prepares and reviews monthly account reconciliations including debt and swap arrangements. Reviews the weekly sales and bookings submissions by OpCo, and distributes results to CEO, CFO, and other senior management on a weekly basis. Manages the tracking and reporting of historical and recent acquisitions. Manages the incentive compensation process for each OpCo. Works with the OpCo CFOs to establish financial targets at the beginning of the year and reviews the results at year-end directly with the CAO. Manages the cycle count approval process for each location. Reviews the submissions for each location and approves the results once a year with the CAO. Navigates within OneStream and pulls financial data directly from OneStream in Excel (through OneStream XF) on a daily basis to either distribute to various parts of the Company or perform analysis. Acts as a resource for OpCo personnel in interpretations of Danaher's Finance policies. Plays a leading role in evaluating and implementing changes to improve processes within the organization.

Capability of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment and ability to make tough, difficult accounting and financial-related decisions. Ability to analyze and translate financial information and results into workable information for communication to operating management. Ability to conduct detailed business and financial analyses to identify potential problems, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate solutions is necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A working knowledge of US GAAP is expected. Proficiency in Planning & Analysis and accounting is expected. Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to work independently yet manage multiple projects simultaneously. High energy and able to handle conflict. Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed organization. Strong global business perspective with understanding of a multinational organization with multiple business units is preferred

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

BS or BA Degree in Finance or Accounting required. CPA is required. 5 to 7 years of working experience. Experience in a public accounting firm is required; large international accounting firm is preferred.
