Overview
This Manager position within the Financial Analysis and Valuation group at PennyMac will have a focus on the development and application of mortgage valuation model for use in the assessment of potential transactions as well as for financial statement reporting. The position requires a solid programming skill and general finance knowledge especially in the fixed income area.
Job Description

• Developing the models internally or customizing third-party models for the valuation and performance of mortgage assets
• Analyzing drivers and trends in performance of such assets and in the overall mortgage universe
• Generating reporting regarding mortgage asset valuation, performance, and other key attributes
• Evaluating and analyzing models, and contributing to the development of new models
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) preferred in C++/C#
• Familiarity and background in the valuation of mortgage related assets (whole loans, MBS and / or MSRs) are desirable
• Prior model developing is not required but highly desirable
• Excellent quantitative and reasoning skills
• Proficient in Excel and VBA knowledge is a plus
• Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
• Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
• Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
• Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
