West Monroe is seeking a Manager with current business / technology consulting experience to join our rapidly growing Financial Transformation team within our Operations Excellence practice. West Monroe’s Operations Excellence practice is focused on driving value from strategy through execution—not merely pointing to best practices and standards. Our solutions focus on value creation through the lenses of people, process, and technology across functional transformation and related platforms, productivity, and transformation enablement. Each consultant within our Operations Excellence practice is aligned to one of six focus areas including Financial Management, Organizational Change Management, Portfolio & Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Productivity, and IT Strategy & Business Process Outsourcing.
West Monroe Partners (WM) has an immediate opportunity for a Manager to help deepen our Finance Transformation consulting practice. This is a dynamic role that will work closely with our clients to improve processes, provide advisory on finance operations, and apply best practices to their organization. This role will also partner closely with other WMP practice areas, namely supporting our M&A team.

We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience contributing to and leading Finance Transformation programs, and/or providing Finance leadership and support of large-scale process/technology projects. Candidates should also have experience in helping to develop and/or enhance supporting methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities
- Design finance future state vision, identify transformation initiatives and develop finance transformation roadmaps
- Lead critical major cross-functional initiatives and projects for the finance organization including system implementations, operational improvements and international expansion
- Scope requirements, design project plans, and execute the stand-up of a net-new finance organization post-carve out with respect to people, process, and technology needed
- Establish business process management framework, perform process assessments and implement scalable processes leveraging automation
- Partner with IT owners to define finance systems strategy and designing new and enhance existing finance systems
- Partner with Private Equity clients during due diligence to assess target company’s health and maturation of processes within the Office of the CFO and recommend remediation initiatives
- Partner with process owners to define and benchmark operational KPI and to automate the delivery of KPI dashboards
- Advise on finance operating model (incl. shared services) and support the build-out of the transformation and data analytics teams
- Build and deliver training regarding optimal use of finance tools and technology
- Mentor and develop staff on the job and through formal feedback
- Develop and enhance project methodologies, tools and other collateral
- Generate new business and manage the client relationship at the executive levels while providing direction and oversight to project teams
- Create work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (e.g., Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Management/Business, Information Technology, MIS, etc.)
- 5+ years’ experience managing teams of financial analysts, consultants and/or technologists
- 5+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), project accounting, financial transformation, or finance special projects
- 5+ years of progressive experience in understanding and/or configuring Corporate Performance Management (CPM) systems (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, etc..)
- Led financial close/consolidation processes, process improvement reviews, and M&A transactions (integrations, carve-out, best practice advisory)
- Membership and visibility in relevant professional organizations
- Understanding of US GAAP requirements
- Experienced in developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, and presentations to assist in selling work to clients
- Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience
- Prior consulting from either a large/strategic consultancy or internal ERP/IT department is preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to work well with clients and present to C-level executives

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Functional Knowledge:
- Hands on functional knowledge of at least one ERP solution (knowledge of mid-market ERP landscape a plus)
- Must have been an active team member or PM on at least 3 full-cycle platform (ERP preferred) implementations
- Strong functional knowledge within the following areas: Lead to Close, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, Record to Report, Recruit to Retire (any other industry specific knowledge is a plus (e.g., TMS, WMS, PSA, EAM, etc.))
- Software Selection and Platform Strategy experience

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
