In this role, the Manager, Accounting will manage the team responsible for the accounting treatment of operational accounting transactions related to monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities. You'll be responsible for review and approval of journal entries in accordance with internal controls. The Manager, Accounting will develop, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with current US GAAP accounting standards. Responsibilities also include management of monthly accounting processes including close process, monthly/quarterly fluctuation analysis, and account reconciliation process. You'll also manage the PBC process in support of quarterly and year end audits.

Are you up to the challenge?
- Manage team responsible for the accounting treatment of operational accounting transactions related to monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities. Manage goals and priorities to ensure relevant deadlines are met.
- Ensure that documentation and procedures are in compliance with internal SOX controls.
- Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with current US GAAP accounting standards, internal controls and SOX requirements.
- Manage and document the analysis and recording of complex transactions in accordance with US GAAP.
- Review monthly journal entries, fluctuation analysis and account reconciliations.
- Manage process for preparation of quarterly and year-end audit PBC schedules, coordinating and communicating with accounting operations team members and other parties as necessary.
- Manage or participate in special projects as requested.
- Develop and support continuous process improvements and automation of existing manual processes
You should definitely have:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with a major in accounting or finance.
- Ten years of demonstrated accounting experience.
- CPA Certification or CPA Candidate
- Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, with strongly developed interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing complex accounting processes.
- Experience managing accounting staff in a complex, multi-entity accounting environment.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC and other applicable accounting and reporting standards.
- Excellent organization skills, including the ability to manage a team to consistently meet monthly and quarterly deadlines for important tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in dealing with and seeking creative solutions to problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Experience with accounting systems
- This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).

- Experience with Oracle accounting systems.
- Experience with IFRS accounting standards.
