Job Description What You’ll Do
The Corporate Treasury department seeks a Lead Analyst with strong technology experience and skills and a working knowledge of finance and banking. This analyst will join Treasury’s Data & Analytics group, which leads the department’s initiatives to integrate new technologies into Treasury’s work flow, advance its model and data assets, and automate and raise the analytical capabilities of its research and reporting processes. Within the Data & Analytics group, the analyst will be part of the Technology and Development team, focused on identifying and implementing existing and emerging technologies that can both aid in mitigating risk and automating current work while advancing Corporate Treasury’s analytical capabilities. All members of the Data & Analytics team serve as technology advocates and technical experts who assist other members of the Corporate Treasury team (about 55 people).
How You’ll Do It
Support Corporate Treasury’s technology initiatives to drive automation to promote best practices in the use of programming languages and statistical or ALM software; create and maintain web-based applications to support Corporate Treasury and Finance work flows.
Design, code, support and document custom applications to automate work and raise Corporate Treasury’s analytical capabilities; ensure quality code through continuous integration, development, and risk-mitigation testing
Contribute to high-level reporting functions and development of key strategic communication to broad range of internal and external stakeholder, and provide timely updates that allow senior management to effectively manage risks.
Conduct a wide range of analysis that support: Asset Liability Measurement, Funds Transfer Pricing, Funding Analytics, Interest Rate Risk Management, Capital and Resolution Planning, Liquidity Analysis, and Corporate Funding and Cash Management.
Responsible for the accuracy, reasonableness, and constancy of data and assumptions used for modeling balance sheet activities.
Proactively manage ongoing regulatory and strategic requirements designed to mitigate risk through the economic cycle.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
4+ years of experience in Financial Analysis and or Banking/Financial Services or related field
6+ years of progressively responsible experience in relevant work, especially using programming languages (Python or similar, SQL), statistical software (Stata, R, or similar), ALM software (QRM or similar) and web development languages (HTML, CSS, etc.); experience using Linux/Unix also preferred
In lieu of education, 6+ years of experience in Financial Analysis and or Banking/Financial Services or related field
Bonus Points If You Have
Prior work experience in finance or economics-related fields preferred; otherwise, demonstrated financial acumen and familiarity with finance and banking concepts
Strong communication skills, including comfort speaking to both technology and business audiences and working cross-functionally with both
Ability to work semi-independently with strong problem-solving skills and collaborate with others in small groups
Willingness to be curious, flexible and adapt to changing environments
