The Manager will play a key role on Lyft’s Investor Relations (IR) team, serving as a spokesperson for the company and executing the internal IR function. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Manager will be an integral part of the Investor Relations and overall Finance team and will work closely with key functions across the company as well as members of Lyft’s leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a spokesperson with the investment community regarding the Company’s business model, operating results and business strategy
  • Collaborate on executing the internal investor relations function including strategy development and creating and executing the IR operating plan and budget
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure a consistent corporate image is presented to all external parties
  • Provide senior management with feedback and recommendations related to discussions with the investment community, as well as commentary regarding events within the market and industry
  • Assist investors and analysts with modeling the company’s historical financial statements
  • Advise on and support all aspects of investor marketing, including core processes to build and maintain our investor database and CRM
  • Manage all aspects of quarterly earnings—including preparation of quarterly financial press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, investor presentations and other associated materials; assist in drafting annual and quarterly SEC filings
  • Support the Company’s participation in investor and analyst events such as conferences, meetings, non-deal roadshows
  • Support any planning for the Company’s Analyst Day and Annual Shareholder Meeting
  • Compile disclosures and data for use by senior management in meetings and discussions with investors and sell-side analysts
  • Work closely with senior staff on internal and external financial planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Support M&A activities across the finance function as needed

Experience:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in investor relations or equity research 
  • 5-6 years of professional experience
  • Technology sector coverage is required
  • Experience interacting with investors and communicating an investment narrative is required   
  • Advanced communications skills and excels at relationship building 
  • Demonstrated understanding of Reg FD and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and non-GAAP accounting practices
  • Ability to analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
  • Strong understanding of valuation and modeling techniques used by investors and investment analysts
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong ability to interpret information and financial concepts and apply them to business analysis 
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software; familiarity with IR focused software/tools a plus
  • Keen intellect, unquestioned ethics, a sense of urgency and the ability to simultaneously execute on both tactical and strategic projects with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong passion for Lyft’s mission
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Some travel may be required
