Mercer's Wealth practice is looking for the following two positions based out of the Chicago or St. Louis office:
Investment Consulting Analyst
What can you expect?
- An opportunity that is a direct path to become a client facing lead investment consultant
- This position will be responsible for supporting the ongoing provision of investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients (e.g., defined benefit, defined contribution, other qualified and non-qualified investment plans, etc.
- Analyzing different investment markets, managers' investment styles and portfolio characteristics and evaluating their impacts on investment performance
- Interfacing with clients on a regular basis - notifying them of critical issues in an accurate and timely manner
- Assisting in the management of all aspects of consulting relationships for assigned clients including:
- Proposing and scheduling meetings
- Managing multiple projects and keeping the team informed of the status of any such projects
- Overseeing information that is disseminated to clients

We will count on you:
- Examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and communicate to clients as appropriate
- Act as project manager - ensuring that high quality client deliverables are delivered on deadline, delegating work to analysts, providing guidance and ensuring peer review
- Produce accurate and detailed client reports through analysis of client-specific investment data including ongoing investment performance and manager monitoring
- Communicate with investment managers and custodians to gather and/or clarify client-specific data for reporting or any other client related matters
- Play a key role in investment manager searches, investment structure reviews, mutual fund selection, asset allocation studies, new business presentations and other investment-related activities
- Attend and participate in quarterly or ad-hoc client meetings
- Analyze and edit investment policy statements
- Conduct strategic portfolio structure and asset allocation analysis
What you need to have:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/institution
- 2+ years of investment-related experience
- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and keep up to date with the investment industry and market conditions
- Good technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
What makes you stand out:

- Desire to obtain CFA
- Willingness to travel occasionally to conferences and/or client meetings
