The International Account Manager reports into McKesson's International Accounting Group ("IAG") and is primarily responsible for ensuring timely preparation, accuracy and integrity of all consolidated legal entity financials in certain International and Domestic structures. This position will be a key contributor in IAG's close process as it relates to our legal entity structure and the consolidations.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Sr. Manager and Director (IAG) surrounding internal and external financing plans, M&A activity and other corporate driven initiatives, while considering multiple layers of complexity with key stakeholders. Suggests solutions for complex and multifaceted issues associated with these discussions.
  • Partners closely with Tax, Legal, Treasury, FP&A and other key functions and Business Units, as well as supports the external reporting and audit process.
  • Analyzes key company drivers associated with tax accounting within the international and domestic structure. Understanding the inter-dependencies between certain accounting and legal entities, and the reasoning behind the set-up of structures will be key.
  • Works closely with Corporate Tax to oversee the accounting for certain transfer pricing and intercompany policies as it applies to our international entities.
  • Manages key aspects of the monthly and quarterly accounting close and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepares reporting packages for key legal entities and presents results to senior leadership.
  • Manages statutory audits across our international structure, primarily under UK and Irish GAAP (FRS102). This involves acting as the lead contact for all audit queries, managing the relationship with our external auditors, preparing draft financial statements and ensuring all work is completed within the set timeframe.
  • Manages the preparation and submission of required government reporting, primarily for the UK.
  • Implements and optimizes accounting and reporting processes through available technology, systems and policy.
  • Participates and leads ad hoc projects as needed.



Typical Minimum Requirements

  • At least 7+ years of total professional work experience
  • Minimum 5+ years accounting or finance experience



Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required



Critical Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with multiple currencies and FX transactions
  • Experience with process improvement
  • Strong systems skills (e.g. SAP, BlackLine, Toppan Merrill Bridge and HFM preferred)



Additional Skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage, and prioritize various responsibilities
  • Strong GAAP understanding across multiple jurisdictions
  • Some insight to the International Tax and Accounting landscape as it applies to a large multinational organization.
  • An inquisitive and mature mindset will be beneficial in this role. Being able to get to the detail but also being able to step back from the detail and analyze the bigger picture will be key to developing your career in this space.
  • Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or equivalent work experience
