Cruise is seeking to hire an experienced and motivated technology resource to lead the Finance Technology (FinTech) team within the IT Enterprise Business Technology organization. The FinTech team owns Cruise’s internal financial infrastructure. We select, implement, and maintain the applications, platforms, and tools that enable the Finance organization to do their best work. We do this by building world class technical solutions that are prepared to scale, are developed on a common set of data, and are seamlessly integrated.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Manage FinTech support across the Finance tracks of Accounting and FP&A
  • Oversee existing solutions for Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Financials, Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) for Planning and Close Task Manager, Concur Travel and Expense, ADP Payroll, and established integrations between FinTech and non-FinTech owned systems
  • Grow and manage a team of high impact Finance system engineers and analysts who can effectively deploy and scale Finance systems
  • Work together with Finance business partners to understand and define requirements, OKRs, and processes to drive strategic application efforts
  • Work closely with audit, compliance and security teams to ensure the financial systems are compliant with SOX regulations, ITGC and security best practices, where applicable and required
  • Work in collaboration with other IT professionals for extended project staffing and support
  • Partner with other business teams to understand the requirements of new business initiatives and how those may impact FinTech architecture
  • Lead annual, quarterly, and sprint planning for FinTech
  • Own the execution of a a multi-year FinTech roadmap in line with business goals
  • Prepare and present executive summaries for project and run the business activities
  • Provide hands on support when needed and guide design suggestions to your team
  • Deliver and measure continuous improvement by identification and design of both system and process improvements with the goal of providing an improved user experience
  • Own and document FinTech architecture with an understanding of the data flow among existing and future systems
  • Drive technology assessments and participate in the purchasing process for new technologies
  • Oversee professional service engagements managing resource hours and overall project budgets

What you must have:

  • 12+ years of experience with financial systems engineering with 4+ years of that time spent in leadership and people management roles
  • Practice servant leadership
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills in order to work effectively with management, vendors, and other functional teams
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment, resolve problems and offer impacting solutions
  • Can prepare and give robust presentations
  • Deep understanding of the role of Finance in a fast maturing company
  • Influence without authority while working cross functionally within and outside the organization
  • Can manage multiple projects simultaneously using a mix of collaboration and leadership competencies
  • Ability to architect and design end to end solutions by taking into account user needs and the overall technology landscape
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications, notably Financials and/or EPM, and familiarity with other SaaS applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in role related field required
  • MBA or other relevant technical certifications a plus
