Please review the following job description:

Lead the development and execution of the Truist business deposit strategy, spanning all products and all related fees, across $170 B+ balances and ~$250 MM + service charges and fees. Accountability to deliver short and long term P&L commitments for deposit account growth, balances, service charges, and rate paid while achieving those results within a rigorous control environment that ensures compliance with all relevant regulations. Leads sales execution focused on deposits and treasury services within CCB, with close alignment to Wholesale Treasury & Payments strategy. Responsible for all activites related to the financial performance of Business Deposits through exception pricing and the management of the CCB proposal response team, partnership with Treasury Solutions (TS), and in partnership with Financial Management for interest rates on business deposits. Serve a bridge between Corporate Treasury and the various lines of business that sell Business Deposit products to manage deposit betas. Provide oversight to Product Management, which manages the Business Deposit product suite.

  • Oversee End to End product management and ownership (P&L, strategy, product design and development, acquisition, pricing, maintenance, service, and retirement) for all business checking, savings, money market, time deposit, liquidity accounts, and deposit fees and service charges for CCB, CIG and Wealth
  • 2Anchor point to orchestrate performance routines across marketing, sales and service channels, operations, technology, legal, risk, Treasury Solutions and compliance to deliver business deposit financial commitments in a sustainable manner while also executing broader CCB strategy
  • Develop and execute multi-generational project and product plans to deliver new account acquisition targets in a manner consistent with broader Truist strategy and Truist financial targets
  • Oversee balanced strategy for Commercial and Public Fund deposits, with particular emphasis on balance oversight, centralized pricing strategy, approval of interest rates and fee exceptions, liaison for the request for proposal (RFP) process, and the translation of the Deposit Services' strategy into appropriate appetite for Public Fund relationships. Ensure the Commercial and Public Fund Account Analysis Exception Standards and processes are merged and operate seamlessly.
  • Develop creative, workable pricing & proposal solutions in response to client needs, competitive market situations, Truist profitability and Truist's operational capabilities
  • Provide deposit portfolio leadership and act as deposit liaison for CCB Regional Presidents and Sales Leaders, CCB Administration Corporate Treasury, and partnering closely with Treasury Solutions and other key product partners for relationship-based approach
  • Deliver balance growth and rate paid financial targets while executing in a client first, compliant manner
  • Oversee business deposit governance activities to deliver successful integration and/or product changes while operating in an effective control environment. Includes self-identification, identification, and resolution of all relevant regulatory and client issues
  • Manage multiple complex, large dollar third party relationships for pricing technology and benchmarking solutions
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports and their direct reports while creating an energetic, collaborative, and engaging team culture operating in accordance with Truist's mission, purpose, and values



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Financial or Economics fields. At least 15 years relevant experience with a financial institution
  • Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with direct reports and extended team
  • Highly motivated and possess vision and enthusiasm
  • Ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities within a fast paced, results-oriented environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
  • Proven track record of developing and executing against a strategic plan, including P&L management experience and leading / sponsoring large cross functional initiatives
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to convey complex materials to C-level executives)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to collaborate and build credibility across multiple lines of business



Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA in relevant field
  • 10 years commercial banking deposit experience
  • Deep knowledge of commercial and corporate banking across deposits, lending, channels, and strategy
