Overview
Oversee the external examination process and maintenance of relationships with Federal and State Regulatory Agencies, including CFPB, GSE (Fannie, Freddie, GNMA), HUD, VA, and Treasury/MHAC.
Job Description

  • Primary contact for agency and investor examinations, including supporting other key Risk areas of the Company (30%)
  • Ensure the examination preparation process is completed timely and preliminary issues noted are disseminated to executive management (20%)
  • Primary contact for periodic reporting to state agencies or investors. (20%)
  • Oversee off-site and on-site examination personnel and internal staff (10%)
  • Supervise remediation of issues as part of the final examination report (10%)
  • Participate in required committees/subcommittees (as deemed by management) (10%)
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Requires experience with federal, state and agency examination requirements.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Broad knowledge of federal, state, GSE (FNMA, FHLMC, HUD), CFPB and Treasury examination requirements
  • Strong working knowledge with the following software programs:
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function independently and prioritize workload.
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
