Overview
Responsibilities include oversight of core daily general accounting operations in multiple geographical locations, including offshore. Primary focus will entail leveraging Oracle cloud based ERP and EPM solution to enhance efficiencies and operational controls within an increasingly decentralized environment. Must demonstrate a philosophy of continual improvement and utilization of technology. Expected to evaluate changes in line of business operations, assess accounting operations for impact of changes and facilitate integrations as required. Create and present executive and operational reporting for purposes of managing resources and time sensitive deliverables.
Job Description

  • Daily management of Corporate Accounting staff in multiple time zones, including outsourced offshore resources
  • Direct responsibility for core general accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Cash applications, Procurement, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Leases.
  • Continual process improvement, identification of opportunities for efficiencies through automation and leverage of Oracle ERP solution.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity through adherence to operational and SOX controls, primarily ERP application controls, as well as EPM reconciliation and workflow controls.
  • Facilitate integration of new business lines and products into departmental operations, including preparation of complex general ledger entries and process flow documentation
  • Work and communicate effectively and collaboratively with personnel outside Corporate Accounting to support their initiatives and objectives, while maintaining Corporate Accounting's mandates and SOX controls
  • Support monthly close process with adherence to deliverable timelines, preparation of standard reporting and ad hoc analysis.
  • Partner with department leadership to plan and execute strategies and objectives for the business unit
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 4 years in an Accounting Operations leadership position
  • Experience in managing decentralized and outsourced operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM preferred
  • MS SQL skills beneficial, not required
  • Public Accounting experience beneficial, not required
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
