About the Team
The Fund Administration Team of FIS is a growing, fast-paced business unit within the capital markets division. As Senior Portfolio Accountant Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and administration for closed-end funds managed by clients.
What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as portfolio accounting point of contact for clients
  • Work closely with clients to resolve inquiries and ensure client satisfaction
  • Supervise a team of portfolio accountants, and oversee all aspects of portfolio accounting deliverables for several client relationships
  • Implement portfolio accounting process with a commercial and control mindset.
  • Develop and train portfolio accounting staff
  • Review monthly GAV work paper package. Review all month end reconciliations including cash, positions, market price, market value, and accrued interest/dividends to supporting schedules and Trial Balance
  • Assist with client onboarding which includes, but not limited to, loading of client's tax lots, cash balance and trial balance onto the accounting platform
  • Assist in year-end audit by providing backup documentation for sampling selected by client's auditors.
  • Review expense budget analysis and expense calculations
  • Maintain daily and monthly accounting records.
  • Calculate and review fund returns
  • Perform ad-hoc functions related to fund requirements
  • Ensure client month-end and reporting deliverables are satisfied
  • Work closely with clients to resolve inquiries and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Work well in a team environment to achieve common goals


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Typically, at least 7 years of fund accounting experience, preferably with hedge funds or fund administration
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft software with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of securities and fixed income assets
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without constant supervision


Added Bonus If You Have

  • Structured products knowledge (Term Loans, Revolvers, Delayed Draws, ABS)
  • Experience onboarding funds onto accounting systems
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting systems (Geneva, VPM) and partnership allocations
