The FP&A Manager is responsible for providing functional leadership for financial planning & analysis and budget vs. actual analysis for AFS. The manager will interface with senior leadership, cross-functional peers, and other managers to maximize revenue and profit, manage spending, optimize the balance sheet and help ensure the business makes sound financial decisions.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in preparing monthly forecast: Orders, Sales, Manufacturing Profit, EBITDA, Working Capital as well as helping identify risks and opportunities
  • Ability to present financial and operational performance of a business to executive leadership
  • Capable of analyzing data and converting the data into easily digestible formats
  • Ability to influence cross functional teams to accomplish goals
  • Strong ability to manage financial performance while balancing competing investments
  • Analyzes global business on a monthly basis (US/India/China)
  • Provides in depth analysis of forecast vs actuals
  • Calculates Commercial Mix, Year-over-Year Price impact, & Direct Material Inflation
  • Creates and compiles commercial, sourcing, & operational schedules used to develop annual operating plan
  • Reports on daily performance of the business vs Plan: Orders, Sales, Manufacturing Profit
  • Develops Webi Reports (Database reports) to automate existing manual processes
  • Partners with executive leadership within the organization to ensure financial tools are readily available to help make timely business decisions
  • Consolidates reports for presentation for the monthly review of the business
  • Perform ROI analysis on new products and capital expenditures
  • Perform regular analysis of operational productivity and inventory levels. Help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.


Team Size:

  • 1 Cost Accountant / Jr. Analyst


Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field and CPA/CMA and/or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting & finance responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong research, analytical and modeling skills, experience with financial statement analysis, accounting processes/procedures and internal controls.


Specific skills, knowledge, and/or licenses:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment within and outside of the Accounting Department.
  • Broad understanding of accounting, finance, supply chain, and operations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Thrive in a decentralized publicly traded corporation
  • Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to research and apply accounting pronouncements as appropriate.
  • Expert Excel skills including both data analysis (lookups, if statements, pivot tables, macros, etc.) and forward-looking modeling (i.e. forecasting and what-if scenario analysis).
  • Experience utilizing Hyperion or OneStream a plus
  • Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and is never willing to compromise the teams ethical standards.
