FP&A Manager- Engineering

About the role
We are looking for a FP&A Manager, R&D (FP&A) to report to our Senior Director, Corporate FP&A, and support our growing FP&A organization in our San Francisco office. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking for a finance business partnership role with a broad range of planning, forecasting and metric insight responsibilities. In this role you can expect to
- Support our strategic and financial planning processes, monthly financial forecasts, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Construct models to forecast key cost and efficiency metrics, including Headcount and Software/Facilities/Infrastructure Utilization
- Provide visibility into key areas of R&D headcount and discretionary spend and ensure quarterly expense targets are met
- Deconstruct monthly and quarterly hiring, summarize key performance and efficiency indicators, and assess business risk
- Introduce process improvements that will drive increased precision and maintain data controls to ensure accuracy and consistency for reporting
- Assist with additional ad-hoc analyses for Executive leadership and broader FP&A team as needed
You may be a good fit for our team if you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline
- 4+ years of experience in investment banking, finance/accounting, or operating roles preferably at a SaaS company
- Understanding of SaaS business models and operating metrics
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint (SQL and Anaplan are a plus)
- Very high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verb and communication skills
