About the Role
Translate financial strategies into tactical plans, reporting requirements, procedures and processes. Develop short-and long-term financial plans and identify financial opportunities to improve profitability and ensure attainment of FIS financial and strategic business goals.
What you will be doing
- Leads a team responsible for gathering, preparing, analyzing and summarizing insight to drive business performance
- Partner with commercial finance leaders within the organization to identify data & trends that will enhance the quality of decision making
- Partner with Investor Relations to summarize quarterly themes across the merchant segment to inform earnings materials
- Identify external business and macroeconomic trends & link to financial performance
- Perform deep dive analysis on customer, sector and geographic trends to recognize areas of opportunity, engage relevant stakeholders & identify actions
- Provides leadership including planning, coaching, recruiting, selection, performance development and mentoring.
- Monitors staff performance, works with employees to implement goals and document progress and works with Human Resources on employee-related issues.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Requires strong management skills
- Requires strong organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills
- Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence
- Requires extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application in a large, diverse organization
- Ability to identify, address and resolve employee related issues
- Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills
- Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
- Ability to design, document and implement process improvements
- Strong system management/control experience
