Financial Systems Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy seeks a Financial Systems Manager to join our growing Financial Transformation team. They will play a key role in bridging the gap between finance and technology, ensuring the accuracy of information derived from our financial systems and identifying process improvement opportunities. Success in this role will require effective communication skills, innovative thinking, and a passion for delivering results. This involves playing a vital role in the decision-making process regarding technology within the finance organization.
What you'll do:
- Live and exemplify the Chewy Operating Principles.
- The Financial Systems Manager will assist the Financial Transformation Team with providing systems support for end users in Oracle Cloud ERP and other systems such as Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Enterprise Data Warehouse, etc., as well as accompanying integrations.
- Will serve as a key team member in the adoption of technology at Chewy- rolling out systems, integrations, reports, processes, and skillsets, while pushing for end user engagement and adoption.
- Engage with the accounting & finance organization to define the future state of business processes through quantitative/ qualitative analyses and reviews of current processes. Identify bottlenecks in the process and engage with impacted parties to determine future state.
- Provide end-user training, prepare training materials, and assist with the publishing of Documentation and Governance
- Work can be non-routine and complex, involving a steep learning curve for new or proprietary systems and processes
- Act as point of contact between different functions within the company and relevant third parties (ex. Technology vendors, consultants)
- Communicate strategies and objectives with relevant functions and teams.
- Identify leading practices and drive adoption, optimized system utilization and continuous process improvement outcomes.
- Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
- Lead change and improvement outcomes, including financial and operational outcomes.
What you'll need:
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
- Three or more years of experience in Consulting, Finance, Accounting or Transformation is required.
- Strong SQL and database skills required, ability to quickly learn new systems architectures
- Strong Oracle ERP configuration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working on Robotic Process Automation projects
- Experience with Oracle business intelligence tools such as BI Publisher is required
- Familiar with role-based security, as well as identity and access management experience
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of business process management (BPM) or systemized approvals/ workflows
- Structured and target-oriented working style, assertiveness with clear focus on process improvement is required.
- Understanding of various support center functions and their impact to the business is preferred.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Bonus:
- Experience with Analytics and Automation tools such as Tableau & Alteryx
- Consumer Packaged Goods or E-Commerce industry experience
- Experience working in a public company complying with SOX/ internal controls
