Position Description:
The Financial Services Representative provides day-to-day financial services support ensuring quality information to facilitate accurate billing. Insurance verification for all patients. Verification to be done via HDX, Envoy, capitation lists, and or calling carrier. Informs patient of the Penn Medicine financial policy and of the financial requirements of the visit. Ensures all patients have referrals prior to entering charge visit into IDX. Reviews batches before encounters are posted to system to ensure proper coding for reimbursement. Updates patients' registration for any changes to demographics or insurance information to ensure reimbursement for services. Verifies all professional courtesies and arrange payment plans at patient's request. Acts as liaison between practice and Central Billing Office to resolve billing issues. Enters charge batches into IDX. Performs charge and cash reconciliation on all batches entered into IDX. Ensures all charge batches are received daily. Provides financial analysis and counseling to resolve patient financial issues. Works all monthly edit and rejection reports in a timely manner. Works pre-collections reports on a monthly basis. Requests charts and copy office/operative notes for workers compensation and auto claims. Reviews of patients' accounts for Accounts Receivable follow up.

Minimum Requirements:
The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. IDX and SMS certifications; IDX Scheduling certification.
