Job Description:
The Financial Practitioner role will be responsible for management/oversight of one or more technology executives' capacity planning including quarterly submissions during corporate forecast events (0+12, 4+8, 7+5 and 10+2). Requires a business centric mindset with the ability to utilize sound business judgment & tailor approaches to drive optimal business outcomes. Must be able to work with all levels of management including the ability to present/discuss with executive leadership, prioritize work & meet deadlines. The ideal teammate is a quick learner, organized, independently motivated & intellectually curious. The candidate will develop business partner relationships across all levels of the firm including Resource Managers, BFOs, FRAC, technology executives, etc. Exact role responsibilities can include any of the following, & will be determined based on individual skill and need at the time:

  • Manage the tech exec's base and initiative funding, with oversight responsibility for staffing plans, to ensure tech exec forecast month over month is accurate to within 3%, and 1% for the year.
  • Report on and mitigate monthly variance between forecasts and actuals, keeping variances to a minimum.
  • Staff plan Core/Flex #s, planning, monitoring & balancing. Partner with project managers & resource managers within the tech exec's space to capture resource allocations & forecasts; report on outcomes of financial forecasting activity.
  • Provide weekly financial updates to tech exec on the financial health of his organization including resource allocations, contract setup & billing challenges, project funding expectations & burn.
  • Create, manage and track vendor contracts supporting base, project & program delivery.
  • Partner with resource managers to manage staffing changes in alignment with quarterly corporate forecasts.
  • Leverage allocation reporting tools to track and manage project level resource allocations as input to project forecasting. Track work efforts against team capacity and allocate in internal tools for a $75MM team.
  • Support the yearly planning process including project/initiative, Base, OCNI and TCOA. -Support the resource onboarding and seating process as needed.
  • Aggregate & analyze project estimates/required funding across various parts of the organization to derive a comprehensive team view.
  • Research funding gaps/discrepancies & assist in resolution.
  • Partner with the program execution team to balance multiple service provider estimates across a project within project funding limits & greater portfolio funding limits; identify options to mitigate any risk or opportunities that arise across the whole portfolio.
  • Maintain team roster(s) of up to 1,000 resources & how resources align to managers & teams across the organization; monitor headcount changes in real time, facilitate hiring process, & create resource forecast on quarterly basis.
  • Manage over $10MM vendor forecast and month-over-month burn; ensure invoices are paid in timely manner, renew/extend contracts as needed.


Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage, structure, and consolidate multiple sources of data into intelligent reports and stories, and take appropriate actions to remedy outlier situations; can operate assertively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills, general financial acumen, analytical skills, detail oriented
  • Strong relationship, verbal and written communication, team building, and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized and motivated self-starter and quick learner.
  • Strong financial experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple financial priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to grow within the team to become subject matter expert.
  • Analytical experience â€" ability to make sense of data from multiple sources and put into views for Executive consumption.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide creative solutions.
  • Experience with forecasting and financial analysis to ensure proper resource allocation is maintained to support efforts within funding limits.


Desired Skills:

  • Prior Bank of America experience a plus.
  • Bank of America finance / forecasting tools (PCM Web, PMMT, Ariba, SAFE, eLedger). Staffing planning; sourcing/procurement experience.

Participates with IT management in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area. Serves as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and internal IT management for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Provides the client areas with technology products and service alternatives that improve the IT service delivery process. Associates in this job code do not manage people.
