Summary:
Provides integrated financial planning support to advisors and Network Office teams. Creates medium to complex plans and/or investment cases through application of planning and/or investment background/knowledge, critical thinking and understanding of advisor intent. Works with advisors and/or staff to address questions specific to work processed. They are a resource to less experienced staff, and provide training and coaching. They are a critical component of ensuring that the day to day operations run efficiently while supporting management to achieve business deliverables.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource to the team regarding Continuous Learning and Improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining standard work, provides coaching/feedback, updates production information and improvement ideas pipeline. Keeps peers and leadership informed as necessary.
  • Develops, coaches, mentors, and supports staff on divisional workflow and processes.
  • Contributes to efforts with leadership to analyze performance, make appropriate changes/additions and update learning plans. Partners with manager to develop employees.
  • Provides support to team manager for quality assurance and productivity expectations within the division
  • Provides direct and timely feedback to the staff, peers, and leadership.
  • Provides support to manager to create learning tools and standard work procedures.
  • Effectively fields and coaches through escalations, sensitive issues, and complex requests beyond the scope of the staff.
  • Negotiates with business partners including individuals in other divisions as necessary.
  • Deviates from established procedures when appropriate and applies creative thinking to meet customer needs.
  • Monitors and prioritizes workload and adjusts daily workflow to deliver business results.
  • Supports and assists the manager in the daily operation of the team. Updates the manager as needed on workflow issues and acts as back-up in the manager's absence.
  • Actively supports the teams and displays a cooperative team spirit in the pursuit of divisional and departmental engagement, quality, service, and production goals.
  • Independently identifies, recommends, and implements divisional process improvement opportunities. Recommends best practices based on process and/or technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Represents and leads divisional and cross-divisional initiatives. Also represents division on departmental efforts such as the department priorities.
  • Aids in leading experiments intended to evolve service offerings and subscriber deliverables.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and mentoring/coaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and solve problems involving ambiguity.
  • Experienced in leading process improvement, productivity measurement, system enhancement and projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage change.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple assignments with little or no direction.
  • Previous experience in Financial Planning Services or an Operations role is preferred


This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
