POSITION SUMMARY

This position works primarily to analyze and summarize day-to-day activity involved with pharmacy recoupment as it pertains to the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy contract, including communicating with escalated providers, tracking the status, progress and balances of pharmacy recoupment cases, and performing process steps in partnership with other members of the team.

Must have experience in customer service & problem solving, be able to multi task working several tasks/projects at one time, and be able to meet hard deliverable dates. Must be very strong in Microsoft Excel and proficient in other components in Office, including Access and Word. Data analysis experience would be very helpful.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Execute the fortnightly pharmacy remittance by migrating and processing financial data from standard reports and databases to generate recoupment letters to pharmacies.
  • Maintain the case and claim records for pharmacy remittance and recoupment within Excel workbooks, an Access database, SQL-accessible mainframe, and a web-based user interface.
  • Receiving inbound and making outbound phone calls to providers, including those with escalated cases; and responding to moderately complex administrative review requests.
  • Open the ticket, assemble, and review collection cases for transfer to the government, including urgent submissions of provider bankruptcy cases.
  • Evaluate, enter, and validate pharmacy payments for deposit and offset of debt balances.
  • Update and maintain work instructions semi-annually.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • Customer service, technical, analytical and communication skills required. Strong business and organizational skills. Microsoft Office, Access, Word and Excel, including descriptive statistics, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrate initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • This position is a flex role, in the office at least 1 - 2 days weekly.
