Financial Coordinator - Infusion

The Financial Coordinator provides courteous and efficient service to internal and external customers. Inputs referrals from external sources and Johns Hopkins Home Care Group personnel, specifically works closely with our Home Care Coordinators and the Infusion RN Scheduler when admitting a new patient. The Financial Coordinator is responsible for accurately verifying the patient's benefits and for obtaining initial authorization. The Financial Coordinator is also responsible for accurately relaying clinical and logistical information to the Team Pharmacists and Customer Service Representatives when they forward new patient referrals.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience:
  • Three years work experience in a health related field preferred
  • Insurance and/or payer experience in billing or related function preferred
  • Strong medical terminology and knowledge of health insurance plans and payer requirements
