Financial Analyst
Granicus is currently looking for a highly analytical and energetic Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team, reporting to the Manager of FP&A. The Financial Analyst will be an integral team member in supporting the business in its key strategic projects and initiatives as we continue to grow and scale. This multi-department facing position will offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while also growing your communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the FP&A Team in the budgeting and planning processes and deliver value-added analysis to our stakeholders. You must have a love for numbers and problem-solving, as well as want to make a positive impact with your work.
What You'll Do:
- Provide operational analysis and reporting designed to drive increased awareness into departmental and total company performance
- Play an active role alongside the FP&A Team in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Assist the FP&A Team in key business projects and initiatives
- Support the Finance and Executive Teams in M&A deal activity as well as assisting in the integration of newly acquired companies
- Learn and use Adaptive Insights for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Discover, explore, and recommend innovative ways of making the business more efficient and profitable
- Provide back-up support to other Finance team members as needed
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 1-2+ years of experience preferred in financial planning, forecasting, and/or budgeting
- Proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of common business and cost drivers and financial statement analysis
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated but also able to collaborate successfully with different teams across the organization
- A record of accomplishment and delivery against objectives
- Adaptive Planning, Salesforce and NetSuite experience a plus
- Experience in SaaS/software would set you apart
