Job Description

Summary:

The Financial Analyst for Corporate FP&A will support the finance organization and other General and Administrative key Executive staff members. This role will provide a great opportunity to build new analyses, financial models, and reports to provide actionable data to company leaders. This individual will report to the Senior Director of FP&A with corporate FP&A related responsibilities and deliverables including consolidation of annual plan and quarterly forecasts, and financial reporting packages. This unique opportunity will also comprise of shared services assistance to both Commercial and Operational Finance Directors regarding ad hoc analyses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting for all G&A functions including headcount, operating expenses and capital expenditure
  • Actively partner with business executives to better understand their organizational strategies and provide financial analysis to support their strategies in all operating expense functions: G&A, R&D and S&M
  • Be the subject matter expert for the Hyperion forecasting tool and the integration with Accuray's ERP system
  • Create monthly and quarterly operating expense forecast based on department spend
  • Collaborate with other FP&A team members to drive financial forecasting accuracy
  • Using Hyperion to budget departmental spend. Partner with the business to provide insight into actuals and forecasted spend
  • Prepare executive presentations for budget, forecast and business analysis
  • Financial reporting packages, earnings reports and analysis to Senior level Business Partners
  • Support Quarterly Commercial and business review meetings, BOD presentations, corporate reporting packages, and presentations for the CFO
  • Ad-hoc projects as required, e.g., develop financial models to be used in forecasting, P&L by country
  • Enhance Hyperion functionality and forecasting structure based on current business needs and requirements



Qualifications:

a. Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, business, or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Financial Planning and Analysis or Accounting experience
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with ERP and Budgeting Systems: e.g., SAP, AX Accounting System, Hyperion, Essbase
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Analytical ability to drive insight into the financials that helps management drive the business
  • Proactive with data analysis and planning; ability to anticipate business needs
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands and thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills
  • Technical knowledge and fundamental concepts of financial analysis
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Self-starter with organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across many levels of the organization
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and deliver work to deadlines
  • Takes ownership of problems and uses initiative to resolve



b. Preferred or Desired:

  • FP&A experience in supporting corporate functions
