We are currently hiring a Financial Analyst in Operations to be based out of any of our Point B office locations. In this role, you will join a small and collaborative finance team that is cross trained to serve the various business functions. As a Financial Analyst, your ability to build meaningful relationships and deliver insightful financial analysis and useful reporting will bring a positive impact on the decisions made by leaders and colleagues alike.

 

The Financial Analyst will support financial analysis, forecasting and reporting for the company. The role will also be focused on supporting investment analysis, return assumptions, and monitoring investment performance, as well as tracking strategy KPIs for leadership and Board reporting. This position will exercise a high level of accountability, flexibility, teamwork, project management, good judgment and attention to detail.

 

The ideal candidate will work effectively with internal business partners and cross-functional teams, possess strong communication skills, be able to manage projects to completion, have the ability to shift gears and be adaptive, and enjoy the challenges of growing an organization. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing data-based decision making.

 

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO: 

Assist in the preparation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts and supporting reports to effectively report, track progress and communicate financial statuses across the organization.

Create, enhance, and maintain financial tools, models and reporting to enhance the monitoring of financial performance 

Partner with teams across the organization to analyze investment opportunities, build financial models to assess return potential, monitor results, and identify risks or opportunities based on data 

Gather data from complex sources, reconcile data variances, and use data to support analysis for decision making 

Identify, analyze, and communicate trends and issues affecting the business and/or its investments 

Build meaningful partnerships with leaders and colleagues across functions as you seek to both understand and educate around business processes and financial information 

Bring creativity and critical thinking, which inspires innovation and propels teams beyond the status quo 

Support other areas of the business as needed based on prioritization

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:  

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field

2 - 4 years of experience in finance, strategic planning, investment analysis, consulting, or a related highly-analytic field

Experience specific to investment analysis and/or M&A is 

Strong analytical skills and financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models 

Strong fluency with Excel formulas, functions, and macros

Solid understanding of finance and business concepts; strong financial and business acumen mindset with an ability to apply good judgement and professional integrity into decision-making 

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Extremely organized with the ability to work on and manage multiple projects within tight timelines 

Familiarity with the following systems a plus: Salesforce, Tableau, FinancialForce

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The estimated salary range for this role is $61,500 - $101,500 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable. Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.

 

Bonuses are awarded at Point B’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
