Financial Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the operational and financial planning and analysis needs of Charter's approximately $12B complex video programming budget. Tracks monthly video programming expense and metrics which support variance analyses reporting, forecasting and budgeting. Focuses on database creation and management to support monthly financial close. Manages leased access requests and copyright and music license fees. Develops strong understanding of business process and data flows to perform ad-hoc financial variance analysis. This position has the ability to help streamline reporting processes and provide analytical support to the programming FP&A team and its business partners.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Track, document, and respond to leased access requests
Build and deploy financial models to track video programming results - monthly, forecast, and budget
Facilitate Oracle Essbase forecast and budget loads
Create & manage database for monthly financial close
Coordinate & manage monthly, forecast and budget financial support packet
Manage copyright and music license fees - monthly, forecast, and budget
Facilitate delivery of data supporting programming expense variance analysis and reporting
Prepare and review reports & other analysis as required for achieving financial objectives
Utilize analysis to identify cost savings opportunities
Perform monthly review of financial statements and identify trends
Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Accounting theory and procedures
Knowledge of Operating and Capital Financial Statements
Knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of SAP general ledger software
Knowledge of reporting software (e.g., MicroStrategy) preferred
Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
Related Work Experience
1+ years of Financial analysis or related experience
