Job Description
Biotheranostics (a Division of Hologic) is a commercial-stage molecular diagnostics company that develops and provides diagnostic, prognostic and predictive tests that support physicians in the treatment of cancer patients. We are a leader in the development of evidence-based biomarkers to address unmet medical needs for a rapidly growing oncology space. In February 2021, Hologic acquired Biotheranostics to jump-start into this large, fast-growing oncology adjacency that fits perfectly with Hologic's broader corporate focus and passion for women's health. Together, they will be able to leverage their commercial capabilities and expertise in molecular diagnostics automation to accelerate growth, to help physicians make more informed decisions and deliver more personalized treatment and better clinical outcomes.
This position will report directly into the Sr. Manager of Accounting and will be responsible for managing the annual budget process, quarterly forecasts, month end close activities related to variance analysis of operating results, while also supporting the needs of the business by working closely with the business partners through financial analysis, reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
- Support the consolidated financial budgeting and forecasting process with a good understanding of the P&L financial statements and key business drivers
- Assist in ad hoc financial and scenario analysis
- Support R&D, Marketing, G&A and other OPEX related cost center owners in basic financial analysis
- Prepare internal management reports
- Support business partners in financial modeling analysis
- Perform basic forecasting and budgeting support
- Research basic finance and accounting issues
- Assist with annual budget, monthly re-forecast and monthly close process
- Extract and manipulate raw data for analysis or conclusions
- Participate in regular presentations to senior leadership
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 years related finance experience preferred
Skills
- Strong analytical skills
- General understanding of Accounting and Finance Principles
- Intermediate experience with manipulating data using Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle
- Experience using a financial planning systems (Ex. Hyperion)
